Today was supposed to be my "installation day" using the self-install kit, but my modem has been showing no downstream channels bonded all week. It is connected directly to the line coming in the house from the pole, no splitters at all. I've used all these same cables when I had Comcast service years ago, so they are all known-good cables. They've undergone many TDR tests and are well sealed to the weather. The only new equipment is the cable modem, which is an "Xfinity Certified" Motorola MB8600. It has never been provisioned before, on account of xfinity.com/activate being inaccessible without the downstream/upstream channels.
Has anyone at Comcast bothered actually connecting my house at the pole?
