Multiple Internet Providers

Hello,

I am moving to a new address on someones property. The owner has multiple units and provides Internet to his tenants. I have Xfinity and was wondering if I can directly hook up to the land-line hook up with my modem and not interfere with their connections.

When I scheduled to move my Internet to a new address, Comcast said that Xfinity would work there, but that the current Internet at the address would have to suspend for me to connect.

I'm not sure what Internet provider they have, but I was hoping to use my own interest instead of what the property owner has.

Re: Multiple Internet Providers

Comcast doesn’t use a landline to connect, you need a live coax signal. You may have to wait til you move in, so you know exactly what’s available and what you can do at the property

Hello, Jacol-098! Welcome to the Xfinity Forums.

I appreciate you reaching out to us here about your concerns for service at your new location. Is this like an apartment/condo complex? I recommend reaching out to the landlord for a little more info on how they manage services. We can't run lines/services on the property without the landowner's permission. If this is the case then the landlord may need to reach out to bulk services if they intend to service multiple tenants on their property.
