Internet overage and why customer service will lie.

So we got dinged with a $200 overage for internet and I called to see about having them reverse it and move me to a new plan/modem that would offer unlimited.  I was promised a call back from the department that could reverse the charge and set it up not once, but twice.  In one of those calls I was told the premium chanels which were no longer free that I never watched were going to be removed.  They were not.  Lies lies lies.... now I have been on the phone for over an hour and will soon have to leave before the cancelation department even picks up... then again, I don't trust they actually transfered me.  The last one sent me to the internet department in stead costing me an additional 25 minutes of hold time.   I am trying to continue as a customer but don't see it happening after now, miraculously, they are saying the two credits have been used.  When I asked about it the condescending agent said, "if you studied your bill the way you shoudl then you would know"....
