I am an online teacher. I teach classes every morning from approximately 5:30 to 10:00. On June 13, 2018, my area in Savannah GA 31410 experienced an internet outage due to a severe thunderstorm from approximately 4:30 p.m on June 13 to approximately 11:30 a.m. on June 14.
My company requires that I provide them with documentation proving this outage or they will charge me for each class I missed. I have spent several hours chatting on the Xfinity website support chat. I have spoken with a support person who described herself as "offshore" to whom I had to repeat my need for documentation several times. Our conversation lasted 25 minutes. She never understood what I needed nor was she able to guide me to a website location or phone number or person who could help me. I contacted the virtual agent and the a specialist on your facebook account. I am unable to find a single human being or robot that can tell me where I can find documentation that proves the outage.
Xfinity has an outage map on their online site that shows CURRENT status. This does not help me. I need something that states there was an outage in my area from the dates and times listed above that I can provide to my company so the do not financially penalize me for being unable to meet my scheduled classes because there was an internet outage. This should be online for all of the 100s of people who work online.
Can someone tell me where i can find this?
