I don't have a modem and never had, but I'm being asked to return equipment

I am receving e-mails and just noticed I was charged for the modem Xfinity never gave me. I have my own modem that I've purchased at Amazon. What should I do?

Xfinity now has neither the phone support nor chat assistance for billing problems. I am going to talk to the lawyer and see if there are other people in this situation to see if the class-action lawsuit is possible.

However, before doing that I'm wondering if there is a reasonable solution.

I received an email and a phone call about this. I better not be charged for a monthly fee. I specifically told them before signing up that I would bring my own. I wonder if the cable guy put in that he gave me one, so he could take it and sell it.

Are you by any chance located in the pacific northwest?
