I just received a technicolor cgm4140com with the noise issue that I have been advised is not normal. I have heard of people going to the store, plugging them in, and other units had the same problem.
My question is whether I can go to the Comcast store without taking my current noisy gateway so that if they don't have a proper unit I don't have to reinstall everything. If they do have one then I will bring the noisy gateway in the next day. I already have an xb3 on the way back so I don't want things to get too confusing.
