I just went to a local Comcast center to change my plan to save some money and I was told by the sales person that they were not allowed to change me to a lower priced plan that had the same features. I am on Extended Basic and wanted to change to Digital Economy which would have saved me some money but the sales person said that she was not able to do it. I only wanted the published pirces (and not an introductory plan). I find this outrageous. This is exactly why Comcast will continue to lose subscribers.
I'm trying to completely STOP my cable service and they say that they can't do it because of outstanding amount due. Wait a sec....you are going to penalize by overbilling and not stop service when a customer asks to stop the service to avoid continuing to overbill and apply late fees?
Update: I was told this evening that credits to my account are coming on next bill and they are stopping my cable service so we'll see what happens.
