I recently upgraded my modem, replacing my SB6141 modem with an SB6183 modem. The new modem is working OK but now my account shows both the SB6141 modem and the SB6183 modem. I used Comcast chat and asked that the SB6141 modem be removed from my account and was told that it was done, but the two modems were still there. The next day I contacted customer service by phone and was told that the previous agent didn't remove the SB6141 but only deactivated it. I told the agent to remove the SB6141 from my account and he said that he would do that. I checked the following day and the SB6141 is still showing in my account. How can I get the old modem removed so my account just shows the SB6183 modem?
I just checked my account and the old modem is no longer shown. I'm not sure why it took several days or who removed it, but the issue has been resolved.
