Can I get an update on tiers and speed?

Just received my latest bill and see what I think are more changes in tiers, speed and tier names. I'm in a Signature triple play package and I receive Extreme pro speed of 600Mbps. But there is a note on the back of the bill that Signature+ More tier gets gigabyte speed. So what is the difference between Signature Triple play and Signature +? Also I read there is a XB7 modem but I can't find it when I search the Xfinity website. What is it and do I want one? Thanks for any help.

Thank you for posting your question here in the Xfinity Forum.  In your area, the benefits you would receive if you were to upgrade from the Signature Triple Play to our Signature+ More is the increased Internet speed (from Extreme Pro to Gigabit), increased DVR storage space, and the addition of the Showtime and Streampix.

Additional information about the packages available in your area can be found here: https://www.xfinity.com/learn/offers

Re: Can I get an update on tiers and speed?

Hello Jessie

So here are a couple of follow up questions.  Is Signature Triple play still a tier or is it being phased out and only older members who have been in it get it and if I change to another tier I wouldn't be allowed back to the Signature triple play tier? Signature + gets the Gb internet speed I understand that. But I already get Showtime and Streampix in Sig Triple play. As for DVR storage  are you refering to DVR storage on the cloud? I'm not sure how that works? How do I know what programs on my DVR are physically on the DVR and which are on the cloud? And how do I manage and delete items from the cloud storage? When I try finding info on stuff like this and do a search I can never get to a page that explains it.

Speaking of not finding info I tried finding  the specs on the XB7 modem without success. Is there a XB7 modem? what are the specs?

Thanks

As of today, the Signature package and the Signature+ More package are available to our customers in your area. This means if you were to make any changes, you should be able to get this package back if you so choose. Now, as you know we are constantly re-evaluating our plans and these may change. If we make any changes to packages in your area you will be alerted of these changes in your bill notifications.

As for the increased DVR storage space, this would refer to cloud DVR space. Here are a couple of links that should provide you additional information about cloud DVR,

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-dvr-cloud-technology-general-faqs

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-dvr-with-cloud-technology-available-features

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-dvr-with-cloud-technology-recording-and-playback

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-dvr-cloud-technology-download-faqs

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/x1-dvr-cloud-technology-recording-playback-faqs

You can easily identify DVR recordings that are "in the cloud" as they have a cloud DVR recording as it has the following symbol next to it in your DVR menu.

Managing your cloud DVR works in the exact same way you manage the recordings on your physical DVR. You will notice the information about managing your cloud DVR recordings in the links shared above.

If you would like additional information about our Xfinity XB7 modem, I recommend the following articles,

I hope this answers all your questions, please let us know if you need anything else.

Re: Can I get an update on tiers and speed?

A question about the XB7 that isn't answered in the links provided. I see that there are 4 hard wire ports which is great because the XB6 2 hard wire ports aren't enough. But it doesn't mention how many wifi connections are available with the XB7? I believe I can connect 16 wifi devices with the XB6.

Also what is the monthly fee for the XB7? Is it more than the XB6? Thanks
