It has been a good 15 years since having Comcast at my residence. I had Direct Tv for a good number of years. So when Comcast sent me my modem for self installation I guess they were under the impression that I still had the lines coming in and that is not the case. When I ordered my service it would of been a good question that might if wanted to ask. Now I’m stuck with no internet again. I should of just stuck with using my hotspot from my phone. I will be canceling service and returning what was sent to me.
When getting sent a self install, it’s with the assumption that you can do the install. That means disconnecting a direct tv cable that’s going to feed your modem and hooking it up to the Comcast feed. If you knew it was that long why wouldn’t you set up a tech install in the first place?
