Bring your own modem wrong model number on account
Would a Comcast representative be able to help correct an incorrect cable modem model number on my account? I tried calling and they said they fixed it, but the wrong model number (C6220) is still present. In my Netgear modem's event logs it throws the following errors on startup and periodically due to the wrong model number:
SW Download INIT - Via Config file d11_m_c6220_extremespeed_c01.cm SW upgrade Failed after download -Incompatible SW file
I would like to get this fixed so that Comcast can push out firmware updates to my modem which is a Netgear CM1100.
