Bill has gone up 25% in two years, Need help before I cut the cord

As a loyal Comcast customer, (all told more than 19 years in two cities) it seems that only new customers are valued. When we moved, we got a new "contract" and since that has expired, my service has declined, we have lost On Demand as we use the Tivo platform, and my bill has gone up $48.67 a month, just a  touch over 25%. With all of the options out there and cord cutting, why should I pay an extra $50 a month? Why should I not cut the cord or go to RCN or other competitors? I am hoping for an answer from a Comcast employee.
