I just paid my bill at the local office. When I was done, the receipt showed a remaining balance of 39 cents. The lady said to disregard it. When I called the automated line to check my balance, it still says I owe 39 cents, as does my account statement online.
I called and spoke to two separate agents that both said my balance is zero and that I owe no further money. I do NOT want to be charged a late fee over 39cents especially when I was intending to pay my bill in full.
How is it that both the online account and the automated system are telling me I owe(as does my receipt) but 3 different employees have told me I owe nothing?
