Amnesty Program for Low/Fixed Income?

Amnesty Program for Low/Fixed Income?

I am asking this on behalf of my mother in law. She has an old bill, roughly 5 years old, that is outstanding. She is on a fixed income(disability). Does Comcast offer any type of amnesty program for those on a fixed/low income? I had read somewhere about the internet essentials program. Is that still an active program?

I appreciate any input you can give me.

Re: Amnesty Program for Low/Fixed Income?

Hello,

If she meets the requirements for Internet Essentials and it is offered in her region then yes it is possible to get amnesty.

This is some of the Criteria that Must be met.

  • Be located where Comcast offers Internet service.
  • Have one child eligible to participate in the National School Lunch program.
  • Have not subscribed to Comcast Internet service within the last 90 days.
  • Does not have an outstanding Comcast debt that is under one year old.

may not apply in this case, but

as part of a pilot program by Internet Essentials, eligible seniors in the areas of Boston, MA, Palm Beach County, FL, and San Francisco County, CA are also able to participate,  w/o the requirement of a child.
