$70 charge for 'In Home Service Visit' that shouldn't have been charged
I did the home installation. TV worked fine, but internet wouldn't work.
I called customer service, we tried to solve this with resets, etc, but nothing. They said they could sent a tech out for $70 fee, but that if the issue was not with my equipment, the fee would be waived.
Tech came out, after quite some time, he was able to solve the issue. He said that since the problem wasn't with my equipment the fee would be waived.
I get bill, and $70 fee is on there. Call customer service to let them know of the mistake, and they say the $70 fee is standard for a visit regardless of what the issue is, and there is no such thing as a waiver of the fee. We discussed this at lenght, but he just kept saying the fee is always applied and there is no way anyone told me different.
Why would comcast have employees lie to make an extra $70? I heard about the horrible customer service before I signed on, but didn't think it would include being ripped-off...
