The Broadcast TV Fee is an itemized charge on your bill that is intended to offset a portion of the costs of retransmitting broadcast television signals. Broadcast stations have the right to charge for their signals, and cable providers like Comcast end up paying substantial fees in order to carry them. In recent years, our cost to retransmit broadcast television signals has more than doubled, and this itemized charge will make it clearer for you to see the factors that are driving price changes.
The Regional Sports Fee is an itemized charge on your bill that is intended to offset a portion of the costs of broadcasting multiple regional sports networks to our standard video services.
Why don't they just include these fees in their monthly subscription rates? Isn't that what I'm paying that monthly rate for, for Comcast to broadcast tv shows to my cable box?
