I see have an amount in collections on my credit report, and I don't know where or how this can be, as I've been a comcast customer in good standing for over a decade and it wouldn't be possible for me to have or transfer service and have an outstanding balance that is in collection. How is this possible? Please remove.
You should dispute it with the credit reporting agency. Also see https://www.xfinity.com/idtheftclaimform
I've asked a Comcast employee to help you. You should expect a reply in this thread.
