Xfinity Email Spam Filter Stinks

Why is the email spam filter so STUPID?  


I frequently get spam emails in my inbox even though I marked similar past messages as spam.  The subject lines are very similar and the email addresses of the senders are obviously fake.


Meanwhile, the spam filter often marks valid emails as spam.


I have a gmail account in addition to my Comcast account and I find their spam detecting capabilites are far, far superior.


Why can't Xfinity include support for black lists and white lists.


I have tried using filters, but they are virtually worthless for catching spam and diverting unwanted emails to the spam folder.
