Using a different wifi adapter for the same pass

Ok so i have recently purchased a wifi pass to use xfinity wifi. I am on a pc using a wireless adapter, however my wireless adapter is constantly disconnecting me so i would like to switch to a different one, however, whenever i try to do this it asks me to buy another pass even though im on the same computer and log in with the same device name, is this impossible or am i just doing somthing wrong.
