Two Unit Property, Two Lines

We have a two unit property, one of which currently has cable internet already setup. We want to offer cable internet to the second unit using a different account and modem. The question is, can these two account with two seperate modems share the same coaxial cable line that runs from the property to the street? Is setting up the new cable modem on the same line going to interfere with the existing cable modem (which is working fine)?

It's preferred that each residence have it's own drop. But MDU units that share one heat line happens all the time, if signal levelsto each unit allow for that to happen.
