Trouble verifying my identity

Twice I have called to speak to a customer service representative about my bill and no one seems to be able to help me. They have stated that my social security number I’ve given them is incorrect. I’ve asked how that’s even possible beings I’ve made several calls to Comcast and have had no issues prior to these two occasions. The customer service representative stated that this happens all the time, it’s not my fault and that I would need to go to a service center, in which is not possible for me, beings that it’s an hour away from where I live. I refuse to drive an hour away just to verify my identity!! This is absolutely ridiculous that no one can help me with this!!

Hello Mandys02, in order to change you SSN on your account you would need to go in person. This change cannot be done over the phone unfortunately.
