I have a 2 year contract with Comcast and its just about to expired. I called costumer service to let them know I will not be renewing the contract which has internet, phone,tv, and home, but that instead i will just keep the internet. Prior to my call, the speed was fast and smooth, but a week later I started noticing my speed going down. I am having difficulties streaming video, watching Netflix, etc. I called Comcast this morning and they "boosted the modem" I checked the speed and it is down to about 54. I was told this is my normal speed. I honestly think Comcast slowed my speed because i will no longer be paying them $250 a month for all four services, but for only one service... Internet. Do they care I've been paying faithfully these past two years? Nope. This company is crooked to the bone. Crappy

Nah, Comcast doesn't do anything like that.
Start here: troubleshooting guide. If you still need help, please post your equipment details (make/model of your modem/gateway/router) and a screenshot of your signal levels and your error/event log. Thank you!

I believe it. More than once after a call to Comcast my internet has gone off completely. One occurence - I would assume a coincidence; several times - nah. I called once on a Friday afternoon and didn't have any internet service until Monday.
