Returned my equipment, even got a receipt, but I keep getting calls to return it....

Returne my cable box, have a receipt, as this apparently happened to the wife before. Got a call to return it from someone at comcast. Was told not to worry and no more calls. Then my wife is getting calls. Interesting that nobody wants to see the receipt here for the equipment. What gives, folks?
