I've also had the same experience as all of you. I switched to Comcast from Frontier and was happy to get a price similar to what I was paying but a slightly better speed. I'd like to continue with a similar deal to what I have, but my contract expired and they wanted me to pay way too much. I tried discussing this several times with the loyalty department, but their offers were all way too expensive (even the offer that was a downgraded internet speed would cost me slightly more than what I was paying before).
I cannot agree to pay more for less speed and get stuck in a brand new contract doing so. I had to cancel my Comcast internet and will just use my phone hotspot for now (or else have Frontier hook me up again). I do hope that Comcast comes up with a deal similar to what I was paying, albeit.
