REDDIT forum supported by Comcast/ Xfinity...huh?

I just found another 'forum' supported by Comcast....why? Fragments the forum purpose in my opinion . Is it possible that Reddit will replace the Comcast support forums? Thoughts?

OMG...they are calling 'Comcast Cares' the official support account and the staff "social care specialists". This is getting out of hand. As you can see I have been on the  Comcast forums a very long time and I think forum members provide an excellent service by identifying bugs/feature suggestions and needs/technical problems, etc. As you know we help each other identify and solve problems and provide workarounds and press Comcast to do whats right for customers.  The Comcast reps monitor the forums and help us when and how they can (usually!).  Having too many sources for complaints/suggestions/help in my opinion is not productive. No wonder we can't get things addressed in a timely manner with so many sources for support for Comcast to look at or pay attention to.  I can't do anything about it but I will stick to the support forums.

What I would like to know from a Comcast rep is what source does Comcast use the most to see whats going on in their customer user base.  Are we wasting our time inputting them?

Re: REDDIT forum supported by Comcast/ Xfinity...huh?

In order to reach a larger customer base and those who do not know about these forums, Comcast has recently started support at Reddit, monitored by its own Official Comcast employees and volunteers.  So, besides the aforementioned sites, there is also a presence at DSLReports, also monitored by its own Official Comcast employees.  We also have our own dedicated OE's here, and hopefully at some point in the near future, we will be seeing more, as well as more Experts.

I am not a Comcast employee; I am just a customer, volunteering my time to help other customers here in the Forums.

FWIW, and unfortunately, the *Comcast Direct* help board (https://www.dslreports.com/forum/comcastdirect) at the DSLR Forums is once again understaffed. It been reported that posters seeking help there have been waiting up to 2 weeks for a response....

Re: REDDIT forum supported by Comcast/ Xfinity...huh?

I have used/read DSL posts on Comcast for years.

As I said before I will stick to these Comcast support forums for my information and input.
