Promotional rate for "loyal comcast customers" not the same as for new ones

Why is the protional rate for what comcast is saying is a loyal customer so much higher than for a new one. Why stay with comcast for all their "loyal customer" deals when it is way better to be new??  My 2yr contract just ended and my bill went up and my 75mbps internet speed and 140 channel double play is now costing me $145 but a new customer can get the same for $95.  If i can't get the same deal Im leaving Comcast.  You cant expect people to stay as loyal customers if you offer new customers deals that are so much better. I love my internet and tv but Im not staying unless I can get the same deal. Jacking my price up is not how you treat someone you want to be a loyal customer

Don't be naive. Comcast promotional discount for new customers is a cost for acquiring a new customer. Think of it as a sale price for getting a new customer. Sales are temporary price reductions to reward customers and move inventory.

In 2016 Comcast made a profit of  $0.106 (10.6 cents) for each $1.00 of sales. A company that doesn't make money won't survive. They also paid a 37% tax on their profit.

I understand that Comcast will lower the price for existing customers, but I wouldn't expect the reduction to go to the new customer promotional price.
