After multiple letters and emails urging me to do so, I decided to update my internet/phone modem. My previous modem was provided by xfinity and I was not charged rental because I had bought the one it replaced. Now I'm being charged $12 a month rental when I previously had a $2.50 credit. None of this was explained beforehand. I called and was told the rental fees for the new modems can't be waived. This, along with the price increase and my bill has gone from nearly $220 (already ridiculous) to nearly $240 a month. When I try looking at plan prices to downgrade, I'm told to call a number. The next time I deal with that automated phone menu will be my last. I have begun the long process of changing my email address to a gmail account and am looking into other providers. You are about to lose a decades long customer. At the very least, I'll be dropping my phone and most, if not all of my television package.
