Monthly bill too expensive

I have been a Comcast customer for 3 years. I can no longer afford my bill but I don't necessarily want to cancel my service. I called a few weeks ago to see what options I have and was not at all impressed with the person I spoke to. She did not seem to care whether or not I am retained as a customer. I have been investigating other options but I would like to see if there are any concessions that can be made to keep a loyal customer. I would appreciate any help you can provide.
