Modem

Looking to buy and update my modem. Have an Arris TG862G/CT. According to Comcast website these are the ones that are approved: Arris SVG2482AC, TG862G, TG862R, TM822R, NetGear C7100V, CM500V. I have to have one that also covers the Comcast voice phone. I would also like one that is benefical to gaming. I already have a new Wi-Fi device, Linksys AC4000.

Re: Modem

I'd probably go with the with the Netgear CM500V (16 channels down/ 4 up) since it just does data/voice. Or you could go with the Netgear C7100V (24 channels down) and put it in bridge mode so you can use your own router.
