Keeping Legacy Pricing Packages

So I extended my contract and the agent stated that I was getting the same internet speeds and package.  However, I find out that I was moved from the Extreme to the Blast pro which has slower upload speeds.  After realizing this, I called back and the agent stated there is "nothing" we can do since it was an old package and the order has already been completed.  I figured it out withion 10 minutes.   She even indicated this happed to other customers as she always explains the differences including upload and download speeds.

So, how does it work - Comcast agents can say whatever they want without any recourse?
