I have internet only. I log in and look at the "current services" screen, and it shows I am being charged a broadcast tv fee, and a tv franchise fee. I talked to billing and they said it would take 48 hours for these to be removed.
Well it has been 48 hours and they have not been removed.
I very much understand that billing for services I had in the past includes these fees. However, when I look at "current services" I should NOT see these fees. It looks like I am going to have to call Xfinity every month to get these fees taken off, unless I can find someone to help me. This is outrageous to be trying to charge me these fees.
I think what is happening is that the TV fees are not prorated off for the portion of the month in which one does not have tv service. Of course this is wrong that a customer is going to be charged a full month of fees when he/she only had tv service on a few days of the month, but this is what I think is happening.
Who knows. Regardless of why this is happening, talking to billing is a waste of time. They just say it will resolve on its own. Isn't that great service from them.
Hi dakellerm & BoHeck -- We are currently experiencing a known issue where Internet Only customers are seeing TV fees even though they do not have TV service. These fees are not being applied to your account nor will you be charged for them. We are working on having this issue resolved so that you no longer will see these fees.
dakellerm -- You're welcome. We'll get this resolved as quickly as we can.
