Customer retention

Recently I noticed that Comcast has taken away Cartoon Network from the economy package. I have had numerous chats to get a better affordable plan. After being In a chat forever I was recommended to call the retention specialist. I called and it was the regular number. It seems like every 2 years I am having a problem with my bill and being forced to get something I do not want. I have had Comcast for over a decade. If this problem is not solved I will cancel and go to Verizon.

Re: Customer retention

I have no help to offer except to say you are not alone. I go through this every year which is why I refuse to sign a contract. As soon as there is another relieable option for me to switch to, I'm gone!

Re: Customer retention

I do like comcast xfinity, but I am not happy with their price structure - especially at renewal time.  In just a few days I am completing my current plan with them.  My monthly cost for phone, internet, wifi, and TV was about $155.  When I arranged this plan with them last year  (on a one year basis) they said to call again this year and ask for the same plan / promotion again.  When I called I was told that the plan / promotion was not available.  If i wanted to keep the same plan it would be a 2 year committment and would be $195 (about a 25% Increase).  If I only wanted it for one year it would be $297/month (about a 92% increase).

This seems pretty crazy to me.  I checked with At&T U-verse and found an almost identical plan for the one year I wanted for about $132/month plus a $300 prepaid VISA card.  I do love Xfinity, but not for that kind of difference in price.  Baring any amazing change of heart on the part of Comcast I 99% sure I will be switching to AT&T when my current plan expires next month
