Customer Loyalty/Retention

When I called to see if Xfinity can wiggle a deal to retain a 30+ year customer (contract ends 6/10/18), I was told to go to a local Xfinity store where the Customer Loyalty people are. I went to the store but the agent advised there are no Loyalty reps here and to call 800.945.2288 and ask specifically for a loyalty agent. I did this today and as an afterthought was told I was speaking to a loyalty agent.  Bottom line: 3X play DirectTv/SBC Costco program wins out...too bad. Is there is a way to get to a true Loyalty agent on the phone? I don't think I got one one today.
