In late 2015, I was on a 25 Mbps plan for $24.99. I moved, and the plan was not transferred properly, and I had billing issues. I was then put on a plan for the same speed for $29.99. Shortly thereafter Comcast attempted to raise the rate again, and they forced me to take a TV receiver (it is still not connected) in order to receive the same internet speed at $39.99. Now, just a little over 2 years later, they want to increase the plan to $60 per month. Thats over 200% of my bill around 2 years ago. Meanwhile, I heard radio commercials for a 100 MBps plan with free mobile for up to 4 lines for $59 per month on the radio. smh.
Just canceled Comcast service. Two customer solutions agents were unable to give a rate that is the same as new customers. The excuse given was that those are promotional rates and they have to remain competitive, so they raise prices on existing customers.
"Make It Right" or whatever was supposed to return my calls from yesterday and hasn't.
Finally, there are rates online through "Manage My Plan" that are less costly than what I am quoted on the phone, and in general, Comcast is much more expensive than the market rate.
