I have been trying for two years to get service connected at a home purchased by my daughter down the street from my own. After she moved in Comcast came by for installation of new equipment and advised us that her house was rendered unserviceable. It took us almost two years to find someone to finally tell us that someone from construction would come by and give us a cost estimate on extending the line. (Although there was already a line and service there). So my son has now purchased the house and he only bought it because he was assured that we were in the process of getting service to the house. HE is a professional gamer and due to problems with lagging, xFinity/Comcast is the only game in town in terms of providers. No one contacted us so we called in and were told that our cost would be $1,185.02 to install the lines and that Comcast was paying an additional $1,000. Each and every time we call it takes forever for people to find his file. Now we can't get ahold of anyone to update us on status of who/where to pay and when we can expect construction to commence and be complete. Today, a CSR sent us to our local store to pay by just pulling up the address... we go all the way to hte store, wait our turn and were advised that we aren't in the system. The CSR finally advises that she found some notes on the account but would call Construction and get back with us if we would take a seat. Which we did... Then she comes back to say that ALL CONSTRUCTION HAS BEEN SUSPENDED FOR 120 DAYS!!! Even once they begin construction again that we will have to get in line behind everyone else who has been waiting and because it will be season here, that we shouldn't expect service for up to a YEAR or MORE!! It's already been two and we are beyond livid. HELP!
