Chat security verification

When I need help I have found chat to be the best and quickest way to get help.  My issue is:  to access chat you have to login to your account using your ID and password.  Once you have done this the person on the other end knows who you are.  Problem then is they want you to verify your identity by parroting back your name, address, phone number, and account number.  This is totally useless because once logged into their secure site, this information is right in front of whoever is logged into the chat site under the setting menu.  Someone did not think this out very well.

This is a security measure to make sure that it IS you.  If someone somehow obtained your ID and password, without the rest of the information, they could make changes to your account and/or bundle.  Then when you found out you'd be really peeved and swear you didn't make the change even though someone logged in with your ID and password.  Think of it as another level of security.
