New customer here. I signed up for the Internet only deal (Performance Plus for $29.99/mo for 1 year). I ordered a self-install kit that was advertised during the order process as being free ($0) - both on the website and by a representative I spoke with. I received an email detailing the charges I could expect on my bill, and was surprised to see a $30.00 Self Install Kit fee AND a $14.99 Internet Self Install Kit fee, totaling $44.99. First of all, I only ordered ONE install kit (the Internet Install Kit), so there definitely should not be two charges for a single kit. Second, the kit was advertised as having a $0 charge/fee, so there is no reason for those charges to be on my bill. These charges are outrageous - I will not be paying for something that was advertised by multiple sources as being free, and will absolutely be taking advantage of the allotted 30 day term cancellation if this is not resolved.
Really wishing I would have heeded warnings from friends and family about Comcast/Xfinity's billing issues and false advertising regarding charges/fees, and gone with a different Internet service right about now. Still might end up cancelling and going with a different company's service if this issue doesn't get ironed out promptly.
Hi laep, I am showing you called in recently and per notes it looks like this was resolved. If this is not the case please let me know.
