Being charged a deposit for moving my service

So i was moving my service from one address to another. i didnt have thee new address as there is a 18 gap inbetween move in dates.

 

I called in, the nice young lady told me she talked with her supervisor, and they would put my service on hold untill the 15th ( when i would find out my new address) , at that time i would pay my current bill and everything would be okay!

Today i got the address, and i called in to make the change, and they told me i need to pay my past due ( okay thats fine) and pay a new 100 dollar deposit becasue the other rep close my account.


how is this my fault, that she made a mistake?

 

No instead of paying 147, i have to pay 247 dollars to set up my internet.

 

I was lied to, and i am furious.
