$70 Fine for Slow Internet Visit

We've had incredibly slow Internet speed for months and after resetting our router, getting a new modem, and troubleshooting, the Comcast Representative told us we should have someone come look at it. Never was a fee mentioned in relation to this service. Someone came out and checked things, never mentioning a fee for this service. We got our bill this month with an additional $70 fee. Never was a fee mentioned in any of our interactions with Comcast representatives.

Others on this forum have been charged this, attempted to call the Comcast Center with no luck so we are staring here to get this fee removed from our bill as this was never disclosed before or during services.

Service calls are not free. I agree they should have informed you of the fee.

That depends on what the techs find and what they have to do to correct problems. Work on Comcast's side of the DMARK should not be charged.
