Why won't the channels change when I use the remote?

Does everything else on the remote work?

And when you say the channels won't change, do you mean with the channel up/down button, or by entering a number?

If you are typing in numbers, you may need to hit OK/Select. Non-X1 has an option for auto-complete that will change after a few seconds delay if you don't type a full 4-digit number (0007 for example) or hit OK/Select.
