Why no TVLAND in HD?

Hi, Why does Comcast not Broadcast TVLAND in HD? I really enjoy the show "Younger" and I cannot watch it in HD. Additionally, when I log on to the TVLAND website to watch the show online, Xfinity/Comcast isn't an option as an accepted cable provider. Thank you. Alina

Re: Why no TVLAND in HD?

This is a good question.  My wife watches Younger as well.  It made sense to only carry the SD when they just had classic programming, but now with origninal programming in HD and syndicated shows that could be in HD it is frustrating that there is no HD option.  At least allow us to view original programming in HD through OnDemand.

Yes, yes, yes. I did the exact same thing and couldn’t find Comcast, one of the largest cable providers in the country, on the TVland site. WTH??

Does the local "TV Land" channel in your area transmitted  in wide-screen HD over the air?

Not all do. HD programs may be transmitted as 480p "letter-box".

Same here! Saturday morning Roseanne is gone all because I had to “upgrade” to HD to get new internet service simply so I can work from home. Not happy!

TV Land is not on local broadcast stations. It is a nationally televised cable channel. Per wikipedia: "TV Land is an American pay television channel that is owned by Viacom thorough its Viacom Global Entertainment Group."

TV Land is also in SD only on Hotwire Communications (Fision TV).
