Why no Baltimore Ravens games

On Hanover/Spring Grove Pa. area this past Sunday 9/9?  Is that going to be the case throughout the season??  We can get Baltimore ABC and NBC stations but not WJZ.   Probably a rights issue...

Looks like WHP Harrisburg is your "designated CBS affiliate."  The FCC has a regulation where only one affiliate per network can air network programs at a given time on any given cable system, so even if  you got WJZ, there's a good chance there would be a "We are not allowed to show the program on this channel at this time" message on the screen.  Yes, this does apply even if the stations are showing two different games.

It is especially bad in home cities of NFL teams, since if, for example, the Ravens have a home game and it is on CBS, but it is a Fox NFL doubleheader day, then the Fox station cannot show the game that is on at the same time as the Ravens game.  It would defeat the purpose of the rule if Baltimore residents had access to a second Fox station, which was not subject to the rule, and that station was allowed to air the game in Baltimore.  It can be really bad in New York and San Francisco, as they have two NFL teams, and the rule applies if either one is at home, which is most of the season (although if both are on at the same time, the rule does not apply).
