We recently moved to Oregon from MN. If we add the Sports & Entertainment package, can we watch the Vikings games? If so, which network? I did an online chat with an Xfinity rep and was told what channels "may be available" in my market. Not helpful. Than ks!
You will only see Vikings games if they are national on any given Sunday. Or if they they are on Sunday night or Monday night. Oregon will likely have a more western market.
The only way you can guarantee seeing every Vikings game is to have NFL Sunday Ticket, which, unfortunately, is available only on DirecTV (and no amount of complaining to Comcast will change that; it's an exclusive deal DirecTV made with the NFL). The closest you can get is NFL Red Zone, which jumps from one game to another; that should be in the Sports and Entertainment Packages everywhere.
CBS and Fox don't announce which cities get which games until the week of that particular game. However, these four games are currently scheduled to air nationwide:
Thursday 9/27, against the Rams (on Fox)
Sunday 10/28, against the Saints (on NBC)
Sunday 11/25, against the Packers (on NBC)
Monday 12/10, against the Seahawks (on ESPN)
However, the two Sunday night games could be moved to the morning or afternoon, in which case, they would no longer be shown nationwide. Then again, it's also possible that a Sunday morning/afternoon game could be moved to the evening, making it a nationwide game; they don't usually decide this until two weeks in advance.
