Apologies for any confusion we may have caused. I located this notice below on your recent cable statement:

Beginning June 17, 2019, FM Radio will no longer be available in Limited Basic.

You can find similar entertainment via our X1 TV Apps like Pandora, iHeart, Xite, and NPR One.

Also 50 channels of Music Choice audio.

https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/npr-one-on-x1-faqs has some additional information.

You can also stream your local NPR station here: https://www.kuow.org/

Comcast regularly examines programs and channels in an effort to provide the best overall entertainment choices and content customers want the most.

We know that it is upsetting to lose a channel that you like. Our promotional offers provide discounted pricing off of our services. However, we may rearrange or change programming, features or offerings that are a part of our services, even those that we provide under a promotional offer. We regularly evaluate our XFINITY TV to ensure it includes the best combination of programming options to appeal to our customers.

Additional information about FM radio on Xfinity television boxes see here: https://forums.xfinity.com/t5/TV/ANSWERED-What-happened-to-FM-radio-stations-on-my-Xfinity-TV/ta-p/3...

<Edited>. I spent a very long time accessing, talking with, and waiting for a Comcast "help" person who knew nothing about the termination and fussed around trying to "fix" it, losing time and effort down a hole with another earnest but uninformed Comcast employee. They have all my sympathy. I never received any notice that the FM radio would disappear, it was just suddenly gone.

Apologies for any confusion that we may have caused and the interaction that you had with our agent.

As far as notification, I do see the notice below that was printed on your cable statement dated May 12, 2019.

Beginning June 17, 2019, FM Radio will no longer be available in Limited Basic.

Apologies again and thanks for your feedback.

Re: Radio channels deleted

Comcast's offering of trashy shopping channels while removing legitimate news, information and entertainment channels like NPR does not demonstrate its sincere attempt to meet the needs of its customers. Until this week I routinely listened to Comcast NPR channels 966 or 968 using headphones first thing in the morning and often while preparing dinner so as not to disturb sleeping or reading family members. I urge Comcast to reconsider its decision to eliminate NPR channels.

Re: Radio channels deleted

I completely agree with the above post.  Comcast's filling their stations with trash like shopping channels while removing legitimate news, information and entertainment channels like NPR is OUTRAGEOUS AND UNACCEPTABLE!  Comcast, ARE YOU LISTENING?  I see that they tried to do this in the S.F. Bay Area and were met with a wave of backlash and finally relented.  Dear Comcast, what did you not learn from that experience?!  <Edited>

Re: Radio channels deleted

What is the X1 box? I assume it costs more?

I have limited basic because I can't afford more. As it is, my cable bill takes a large portion of my income, and you keep increasing the injury.

It really seems wrong to pay for the privilege (/s) of shopping channels and infomercials while you rake in money at both ends and diminish other more desirable content. Bring back KUOW and local radio!

I will be filing a complaint with my city. It looks like they're currently negotiating your franchise.

I will also be voting for a candidate interested in controlling your practices.

I, too, am very upset at no longer being able to listen to KING-FM through Comcast.  Now, I guess I will have to try to figure out streaming or how to get KING-FM over the air.  This means I will probably have to change the way I have my entertainment system hooked up.  I am 75 years old and these changes create a real challenge to me.  Comcast, please bring back the FM stations.  While I am figuring out how to stream FM, I am hoping I can also find a way to get TV stations without Comcast.  I am ready to "cut the chord!"

Re: Radio channels deleted

I resent your suggestion that saying that FM Radio will no longer be available in limited basic is the same as saying that FM Radio will no longer be available period.  Two different customer service representatives told me they did not understand why I was not getting FM since I had way beyond limited basic.  There are lots of things I get that are NOT on limited basic.  Why should telling me something is no longer on limited basic imply it won't be on higher tiers?  Does this mean I can cancel with no early cancellation fee since you did not keep up your end of our bargain?  It seems like you were trying to hide the cancellation of FM.  Otherwise you would have said "Starting June 17 FM radio will no longer be available."

Apologies again for the confusion that we caused with the imperfect and unclear wording of the message. That's on us. I have shared your feedback with the right teams.

To be clear,  FM radio services are no longer available in this area via our cable service.

If you'd like to cancel your services based on that, I can waive your early termination fees as a courtesy - send me a Private Message by clicking on my name above, the Send Me a Message in the upper right  and we can start the process.

Apologies again.

Re: Radio channels deleted (Seattle Area)

With the elimination of the channels that brough the local NPR stations, we are now stuck with the NPR One App.

COMCAST, please get rid of that poorly designed and worthless app and bring back the channels for our two local NPR stations.  The app supposedly broadcasts podcasts, but it does not allow us to listen to the premier NPR programs, Morning Edition and All Things Considered.  To add insult to injury, the app cuts off one poscast in mid-stream and switches to another one.

This is a huge step backwards.  The least you could have done when you eliminated the FM stream was to replace it with a decently working app.  Instead, we are stuck with this amateuristic substitute.

Apologies, the app was developed by NPR and they determine the programs and podcasts that are available.

Some additional FAQs at the link below:

httpss://helpnprr.org/?b_id=13750

Also, the NPR app on X1 includes all NPR programs that have compatible audio streams. Some content that is available on the NPR One mobile app or website may not be available on the X1 app. We are working with NPR to bring those programs to the X1 app in the future.

You can also stream your local NPR station directly at  https://www.kuow.org/
