New TV Installation

In setting up my new TV, the cable is connected, I've followed the set-up instructions, but the TV can't find any channels so it and get channel 3 to make a connection through the XFINITY Cable.

The set-up says if it doesn't work, contact the cable supplier, so here I am.

Everything is encrypted, you can’t go cable straight to the tv. Everything cable connection needs a box of some kind
