NHL Playoff Games 4/21/2018 - Columbus vs. Washington & New Jersey vs. Tampa Bay

We were informed by NBC that some of the NHL playoff games have start and end times that will overlap. For the affected games, NBC Sports will adjust the traditional live broadcast based on the city the teams are from.  As of now, this altered schedule is only impacting two games: Columbus vs Washington and New Jersey vs Tampa Bay. In most markets, Columbus vs Washington will air on NBC and New Jersey vs Tampa Bay will air on NBC Sports. In Florida and NY (WNBC) it will be reversed (see table below).

This should not impact customer’s ability to watch either game in their home on set-top-box or via the Xfinity Stream App and website. However, customers in Florida and NY will not be able to watch the Columbus vs Washington game airing on NBC Sports out-of-home on Xfinity Stream. 

 

If customers in the Florida or NY area want to watch Columbus vs Washington out-of-home, they can watch on the NBC Sports app (details below)

 

Customers can watch online via the NBC Sports website (http://www.nbcsports.com/live) or on the NBC Sports app. The NBC Sports app is available on iOS, Android, Kindle Tablet, Windows, XBOX 1, Roku, Apple TV, Samsung TV, Amazon Fire TV & Stick and Chromecast.  

  • In order to watch, customers need the following:
    • NBC Sports in their Xfinity TV service
    • Xfinity Username and Password
