Local weather has come back on. While searching for a reponse to my problem I found several other similar posts with the resolution being that it will come back in a few days. When I initially called Comcast the response was that they were deleting locations from the weather channel and that might be why I had lost my local coverage. They also sent a refresh signal and said they would call back in 10 minutes to see if that fixed the problem. It didn't fix it and they didn't call back. I asked several friends if they had the same problem and they were all using Direct TV. It appears that this happens enough that the Help desk would be aware of the problem and have a better response.
