El Rey Network

Is El Rey off the air soon? I was trying to record their annual Kaiju Christmas film marathon, and the guide says El Rey is "sign off" starting @ 2:30 am 12/25 right after "Nightmare on Elm Street 4" and it goes until 1/1/18 @ 5:00 am with SG1 S9 E20 "Camelot".
If so, why would they announce the Godzilla marathon?

Re: El Rey Network

The El Rey website shows a schedule through the 30th.

I did a bit of a quick search, and saw nothing about a network shutdown. Maybe they just didn't get the schedule to Gracenote (Comcast's pathetic guide provider) on time.

Re: El Rey Network

So, possibly the movies will still air, even though the schedule is blank?
They usually have an intro before each film, and I have looked at the last movie before the sign off that currently shows, so I am going to record as much as possible, and hope it works.
(I didn't know Comcast had to get their schedules from a second party.)

I can record the "sign off" and manually set the hours to record but there is still no schedule, and the sign on recordings do not save to the DVR.

Re: El Rey Network

I recently checked and it is filling back in. As mentioned, probably an issue with them passing the schedule info to Gracenote, which then sends it to Comcast.
