Digital Economy Channels Missing

Digital Economy Channels Missing

I have seen threads here about hot several channels have been removed from the Digital Economy plan. However, I have had more than these listed channels removed from my services. The claim has been that "effective May 10, 2018, the following channels will no longer be available on our Digital Economy TV service: Disney Channel, Cartoon Network, truTV and Food Network." I have also lost access to tons of other channels that are not a part of this list that I have had access to since I signed up for the service, including but not limited to: ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, HGTV, NBCSN, TLC, SYFY, FX, TBS, MTV. My bill increased recently to be more than ever, and I am getting less service than ever. I am extremely frustrated, I'd like to stay with Comcast but this is not acceptable so I will be considering other options if this cannot be resolved in a timely fashion.

In most areas none of those channels are part of the Digital Economy lineup, especially the sports channels which are some of the most expensive. To see your local channel lineup, check https://www.xfinity.com/learn/channel-lineup, https://www.xfinity.com/support/local-channel-lineup/, or perhaps one of your recent bills at https://customer.xfinity.com/. Service Centers and Xfinity Stores should have printed channel lineups. Check locations and hours at http://www.xfinity.com/support/service-center-locations/ to pick one up, or call Customer Service at 1-800-Comcast and have them send a lineup to you.

Re: Digital Economy Channels Missing

I had the same issue with my digitial economy subscription. I live in the DC area and was notified in my March statement that channels would be removed starting May 10 (Cartoon Network, Weather Channel, TruTV, Disney, and Food Network). But May 10 came, and I lost those 5 channels along with 20+ more (including all of those you listed). After multiple X1 system refreshes, multiple customer and tech support calls, and multiple visits to my home from a technician, the answer was ultimately --> those 20+ channels were no longer included in my digital economy subscription either, even though I was NEVER informed of that fact.

The best explanation I got from the Comcast billing department was that they were trying to get all customers on the old packages ("old" in my case being March 2017) switched over to their new tiers. In order for me to keep the channels I had been getting, I was required to upgrade to a different package.

Sorry my outcome isn't good news for you. Good luck!

I am experiencing the same problem--it's a rip away to get you to pay more money.  They weren't like that at first.  Totally considering changing providers.

Old tier? I just got on this tier to save money... now I can't watch anything except basically local tv.

Comcast is corporate greed at the highest level ever. Period! When pay tv first came out, the reason that it was paid tv was that there was not going to be commercials ever, that's the reasoning in back of there advertising that you paid for your tv stations, but you wouldn't get commercials ever. How do you like those apples, huh. GREED!!!!
