Comcast not listed as a provider for Comedy Central Apps

Will I be able to watch Comedy Central Apps on XBox One or AppleTV sometime soon?? I have the channel in my lineup but it's not listed as a provider in the apps.

There are many Viacom networks that are not available on non-portable devices. Comcast and Viacom haven't come to an agreement yet on allowing devices like Xbox, Roku, etc... to have access. Comcast generally wants anyone with a TV to use a cable box, not a streaming device.

I was afraid you would say that. I prefer the app due to the extensive stand up library and a majority is uncensored

Comcast please fix this! You authenticate lots of other apps, but not CC? Smiley Sad

Comcast is not listed as a provider on Apple TV, Fire TV, Roku, or Android TV. So no matter what device you have, if you want to view anything worth while on the Comedy Central app you are out of luck.

Comcast needs to deal with the fact that the future of "TV" viewing is streaming. So they need to either adjust their practices or lose more customers to competing providers.

To level set and clarify - we do have an extensive number of cable networks available for online streaming today - whether through the individual network's online sites or via our own web portal or XFINITY TV app.

Some details and background at the links below.

We continue to work on obtaining rights and deals for online streaming (both in-home and out-of-home and on third-party devices) from our remaining network partners.
